One of the best ways to make money from home is by picking up a stay at home job. There are a lot of stay at home jobs that pay very well which is a huge plus for stay at home parents.

When I had my first son I ended my job as a teacher at a high school to stay at home with him. I soon found out that I could continue making money each month with different stay at home jobs. While staying at home with my now three sons, I started this blog and now earn over $5k each month and created 8 income streams.

To help give you some ideas on ways to make money at home, this post will share some of the best online jobs that stay at home moms can do to make money from home.

If you love teaching and love working with students this might be a great work-from-home job for you. This job is ideal for tutors and teachers who are looking to boost their income by helping and teaching others how to speak English.

Most of my favorite companies that offer these types of positions require that you have a bachelor's degree in any field and some experience with working with students, such as being a tutor or a teacher.

When you work with an ad publishing company, they place ads throughout your site, and when someone clicks or views the ad, you earn money depending on your contract with the company.

There are different ad companies that you can apply for when you have a website. Each one has different requirements.⁣

My favorite ad publishing company is Mediavine and I always recommend them to readers to apply to. I currently work with Mediavine and I absolutely love it. One month I made over $1000 for having a few ads on my website through Mediavine.

How To Start Your Stay At Home Journey

1. Map Out Your Goals

One of the first things you want to do is map out your goals. Figure out the area of focus you want to focus on and do a lot of research.

For example, if I were interested in finding data entry work from home jobs I would research where to find those types of jobs online. I would also research the average salary of a Data Entry Clerk to get a better understanding of how much I could actually make each month.

2. Asset Your Area Of Focus

Think about all the skills and talents you have. Asset each skill and talent and decide which industry would fit you best. For example, if you are great at dancing and singing maybe becoming a singing coach or performance coach in your home might be a great stay-at-home job for you.

3. Review Your Availability

Another area you want to focus on is your availability. Since having children I have noticed that I have to set up a schedule that doesn't keep me from them all day long. So, review your schedule and figure out which work hours will work best for you and your family.

For me, working in the morning hours work best because my husband is also at home in the morning and can take on the extra load while I work from home.

4. Decide On Children Activities or Care

If you will be home alone with your children while you work from home maybe consider hiring a babysitter or a nanny to help with your children. You can also consider finding daily activities for your children while you work from home.
